- Get your mobile phone
- Get to know your new surroundings, your workplace & colleagues
- Get your SSN (Social Security Number)
Note: in the past we were told to wait 10 days after arrival in the US, to make sure your data arrives from the Department of Homeland Security beforehand, otherwise the application process could have been delayed, this might not be valid anymore - Open your bank account
- Start to look for housing
- Start to look for a car (if required)
